Noted Tollywood filmmaker Allu Aravind is planning to produce a Rs 500 crore extravagant movie based on the Ramayana. The filmmaker wants to come with a trilogy in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi in 3D format.
"It's a huge responsibility but the Ramayana needs to be told on the big screen in the most magnificent way possible. We are committed to delivering a spectacular extravaganza," Allu was quoted as saying to a leading newspaper recently.
Leading Bollywood producers Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra also joined the project. Details regarding the cast and director of the movie will be revealed later.
